2019 Irancy Merci la Foule

The 2019 Irancy Merci La Foule has a tightly-wound bouquet with redcurrant, raspberry and light loamy aromas. There is a very slight reduction here that should keep it in good stead in terms of ageing. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, something almost Madeira like, not in terms of any oxidation but rather in terms of its flavour profile. Very complex. Long on the finish, this is a lovely Irancy. Sadly, just one barrel made. Tasted at the domaine.
