Another barrel sample, the 2023 Chardonnay TBH is a brilliant silver/straw color. A more intense expression all around, I understand why they haven’t bottled it yet. It takes the texture, acidity, and persistence up a notch, with electric energy, a hint of savory toast, and a waxy, rich texture that’s so pure and clean. It has fantastic depth and length, with notes of Meyer lemon. Drink after 2025.

Created in 2005 by John Raytek, Ceritas is one of California’s most exciting producers. The project is focused on making single-site wines from Northern California’s coastal regions, largely Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
