The 2022 Pinot Noir Corrine Vineyard Anklebreaker Block comes from Pommard clone vines planted in 2007. It was fermented with 60% whole clusters and matured in 25% new French oak. It opens with tones of woodsmoke and botanicals over a core of strawberry and bramble fruit. The light-bodied palate is understated and floral with chalky tannins, rounded freshness and a potpourri-laced finish. 249 cases were made.

The 2022 Pinot Noir Corrine Vineyard Anklebreaker Block is a deeper ruby hue and reveals a savory umami tone, with hints of porcini, dark berries, rocky earth, and forest earth. Medium-bodied, it fills the palate with vibrant energy and fresh, mouthwatering acidity and structure. It’s a fantastic wine with a lot of complexity. Drink it over the coming 15 or more years.
A dark and rich blend of crushed black cherries, grilled herbs, lavender and crushed stones creates an inviting bouquet as the 2022 Pinot Noir Corrine Vineyard Anklebreaker Block smolders up from the glass. This is wonderfully fresh in style, with silky yet lifted textures and pure red berry fruits that slowly saturate toward the close. Violet inner florals resonate as the 2022 turns inward, tapering off long and tannic yet still remarkably fresh.
