2022 Amrita Pinot Noir

The 2022 Pinot Noir Amrita Sans Soufre comes from the Rim Rock Vineyard in Arroyo Grande, and winemaker Sashi Moorman says yields were painfully low this vintage. Although sulfur was used in the vineyard, none was added before or during fermentation or at bottling. It's somewhat rustic and reminiscent of a mature wine, with scents of baked plums, raisins, cigar wrappers and funky, savory undertones. The medium-bodied palate has a deep core of red fruit, chalky tannins, fresh acidity and a savory finish. Moorman recommends drinking over the next couple of years.
