The Clos des Goisses Juste Rosé is always a special wine and the 2015 is no different. The nose is scented and vibrant, layered with pomegranate, cherry kernel and lemon zest, while the palate shows the wine’s serious side. Verging on austere, with a phenolic grip that frames the palate, a firm mousse and steely line to the wine, it’s lifted by bright lemon and strawberry, the whole thing mouth-watering and crying out for food. A powerful and age-worthy rosé Champagne that will need time. Just 1,441 bottles were produced in 2015. Blend: 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay, with 28% rosé de saignée and a dosage of 4.5g/l.

The 2015 Extra-Brut Clos des Goisses Juste Rosé is a powerful, vinous Champagne. This is one of the most potent, deeply-colored Juste Rosés I can remember tasting. All the elements are impeccably balanced. Readers should expect a rich, heady Rosé, a Champagne for the dinner table. I must admit, I like this style more than some previous versions that were decidedly on the ethereal end of the spectrum.
A medium pink color, the 2015 Champagne Clos Des Goisses Extra Brut Juste Rose offers a grenadine hue and flavor. With assertive red fruit, cherry blossom candies, mochi, powdery earth, grapefruit, broth, and sea spray, it's one of the ripest Clos Des Goisses ever, yet it maintains its freshness. Containing 25% rosé de saignée Clos Des Goisses, and made with 16% Chardonnay to add that freshness, it’s full-bodied and coats the palate with a pillowy mousse. This wine has depth but remains appealingly fresh, maintaining exceptional purity within the ripeness of this vintage. Only 1400 bottles were produced.
Philipponnat’s 2015 Clos des Goisses Juste Rosé announces itself with a strikingly deep hue, derived from the 28% vinified as rosé de saignée blended with the white component. Comprising 84% Pinot Noir and 16% Chardonnay, approximately 71% of it was vinified in oak. The wine opens with expressive aromas of pomegranate, pink grapefruit and cherry. On the palate, it is full-bodied, ample and textural, with a generous core of fruit energized by ripe yet racy acidity, concluding with a long, delicately phenolic finish. Reaching 12.1% potential alcohol prior to harvest, this is a structured, muscular Champagne ideally suited to pair with red meats and tuna. It was disgorged in March 2025 with a dosage of 4.5 grams per liter—typical of the house.
