Note di degustazione
Medium red. Cherry, raspberry and some resiny oak on the nose. Fat, lush, and creamy, with concentrated flavors of red fruits and caramel. Finishes with substantial, thoroughly ripe tannins. The crop level here was just 17 hectoliters per hectare, according to Clavelier.

Sweet lively red cherries and raspberries make up the aromatic profile of the medium to full-bodied 2003 Vosne-Romanee Beaux Monts. This satin-textured effort bursts with cassis liqueur and candied blackberries. Pure, highly expressive, rich, well-structured, and deep, it also vaunts an extremely long finish. Projected maturity: 2008-2016. Represented by Michael Stephens / Vins Divins, French fax: 011-33-3-80-24-06-26; www.divine-burgundy-wine.com; also imported by Martine’s Wines, Novato, CA; tel. Medium red. Musky aromas of black raspberry, black cherry and coffee; this smells powerful. Then fat, sweet and impressively concentrated, but vertical rather than horizontal today. Hint of game. This has excellent spine. Finishes dense and long, with suave tannins. Seems superior to the Brulees.
Cask sample. Sweet cherry cough sweets. Quite winning. Lots of fruit, though with no shortage of tannin. (JR)
