Note di degustazione
(80% new oak, 10% American) Bright medium ruby. Sexy sweet oak scents and a rose petal topnote complement cranberry, red cherry, cassis, mocha and coffee. Firmly built, fresh and sweet, with excellent intensity to the black cherry and mineral flavors. A very fresh and youthful cabernet that's still a bit youthfully tight. Finishes firmly tannic, with subtle oak tones and lovely grip. I would not be surprised if this merited a higher score seven or eight years down the road.

A stupendous effort, the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon sports deep aromas of sweet black fruits immersed in spices. Big, powerful, and robust, it coats the palate with tar, licorice, stewed black cherries, and cassis liqueur yet retains an awe-inspiring juiciness and verve. In addition, this medium to full-bodied wine reveals an extremely long finish studded with exquisitely ripened tannin. Drink it over the next 14-15 years. Tel. (509) 525-1428; www.leonetticellar.com
