Bright ruby. Highly perfumed, smoke- and spice-accented red berry liqueur, licorice and floral pastille scents show excellent definition and pick up an exotic spice nuance as the wine opens up. Sweet and expansive on the palate, offering deep raspberry, cherry cola, candied rose and spicecake flavors that show silky texture and vibrant mineral lift. Weighty yet energetic in style, finishing smooth and very long, with well-judged tannins and resonating florality. 50% new oak.
