The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Le Génie is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Notes of black cherries and loamy earth are framed by cedar and vanilla on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is supple, super ripe and deep, velvety and long. It's just a quibble at this level of quality, but it does show a touch of vintage-related coarseness and warmth on the finish.

Certified organic. Deep purple. Rich cassis and purple floral notes – quite ripe. Dense and sweet on the palate with super-fine soft tannin and a fanned-out finish. Not quite as much length as the Kinsman wines (same winemaker). (SCJ)
