Refined and elegant, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Heart of the Hill is a 100% varietal wine of impressive length that's generous and expansive on the palate. Medium-bodied, it has tension and structure and demure blackcurrant, soy, and a hint of oak spice. This needs time. Drink from 2030-2042.

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Heart of the Hill was matured for 17 months in 90% new French oak. It has intense aromas of cassis, peppermint patty, violet and glossy new-oak spice. The full-bodied palate is concentrated and sleek. It’s structured by grainy tannins and juicy acidity and has a long, gently savory finish. 446 cases produced.
A classic in the making, the 2022 Heart of the Hill is a spice box on the nose, wafting up with a seductive blend of crushed blackberries, dried cherries, incense and mentholated herbs. This is rich and primary yet still quite elegant in feel, with depths of ripe raspberry complemented by autumnal spice and a whiplash of zesty acidity that seamlessly pulls the mix together. Crunchy tannins resonate, tapering off dramatically long and staining with a liquid floral concentration and mineral tinge.
