Made by Thomas Brown, these Seaver Vineyard 2021s are both brilliant wines. The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon GTS is a much more brooding and concentrated effort that has ripe currant fruits, some meaty, bloody, iron nuances, lots of tobacco, full-bodied richness, a rounded, mouth-filling texture, gorgeous tannins, and a great finish.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon GTS is fabulous. A wine of substance and complexity, the 2021 is laced with all sorts of red/purplish fruit, graphite, sage, cedar, mint and sweet tobacco notes. Clean veins of saline-infused minerality give the 2021 a real sense of direction and energy. In 2021, the GTS Cabernet is not as opulent as it has been in previous years, but that is not a bad thing at all.
