Note di degustazione
Grapes for the 2023 Pinot Noir Fraenkle Cheshier Vineyard were picked very late (on October 18th), and it’s incredibly expressive this year. Blueberry and raspberry give way to nuances of bergamot, fennel, rooibos tea, woodsmoke and bitters. The medium-bodied palate is powerful and precise. Concentrated layers of sweet berry fruit are structured by refined, silky tannins and vibrant acidity, and it has a tense, perfumed finish. It should be long lived in the cellar. 280 cases were made.

The 2023 Pinot Noir Fraenkle Cheshier is racy, sleek and super-expressive. It offers striking persistence to match its finessed personality. Crushed flowers, spice, mint and blood orange open gradually. This mid-weight, persistent Pinot impresses with freshness and vibrancy more than size. In this cool, late-ripening vintage, this cool site produced a pretty taut wine. Harvest was on October 18, which is exceptionally late.
