The 2014 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Baudes has a very "Chambolle-like" bouquet (which sounds banal, I know). It just has that roundness and opulence you expect from Chambolle, just a hint of eau-de-vie detracting from the delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with a generous dash of white pepper on the entry, quite steely towards the finish that just lacks a little length. Fine, if not particularly exciting.
