Note di degustazione
The dark ruby/purple-colored 2010 Merlot Truchard Vineyard exhibits significant blueberry and black cherry fruit (kirsch and blueberry liqueur), medium body and a soft, round, seductive personality. Not prodigiously concentrated, it is best drunk over the next 5-7 years. For a number of years, this has been one of most impressive portfolios in Napa Valley, and as one might expect, the 2010s are outrageous offerings. Tel. (707) 445-0311

Dark, bright red. Blueberry, cassis and spices on the nose, complicated by mocha and menthol. Silky, fresh and harmonious, with a cool medicinal cast to the dark fruit and spice flavors. This suave, medium-bodied merlot finishes with smooth, nicely buffered tannins and notes of black cherry and spices. A step up from the 2009 in balance and freshness.
Mocha, mint, chocolate and plums flesh out in the glass as the 2010 Merlot Truchard Vineyard shows off its considerable pedigree and appeal. Plush, dark and seductive, the Merlot is gorgeous and harmonious from start to finish. This is a distinctly powerful, intense Merlot with more than enough depth to keep up with the Cabernets in the Carter range.
