Savoury nose. Round and slightly porty but good acidity too. Just a bit out of kilter. Too sweet and alcoholic on the finish. Not appetizing enough. (JR)

Medium red. Red fruit aromas of strawberry, raspberry and cherry are complicated by a loamy nuance and lifted by a floral topnote. Tightly wound and fresh, with a higher pitch to its flavors than the Sonoma Coast or Russian River Valley examples. Nicely concentrated, spicy wine: Mike Browne notes that this fruit is becoming the cornerstone of the winery's Russian River Valley blend.
