The 1992 Pinot Noir Napa possesses a dark ruby color, a lovely, ripe, black-cherry, herb, and spice-scented nose, and a sweet, expansive palate. This excellent Pinot Noir should drink well for 3-4 years. No one in California has made as much progress with the temperamental Pinot Noir grape as Robert Mondavi. The non-Reserve bottlings, which must give Burgundy producers nightmares, are excellent wines.
