1995 Broadley Pinot Noir Reserve

Good deep red. Sexy, highly perfumed aromas of raspberry, violet face powder, sandalwood and black pepper. Juicy and lively in the mouth, but the spicy red fruit flavor is noticeably drier than that of the '96 due to somewhat hard-edged acidity. Finishes with rather substantial (oak?) tannins for the vintage. The palate does not deliver what the nose promises, but this is still a complex, enticing '95.
