Note di degustazione
A hint of reduction on the nose, but with some air you are greeted with aromas of blackcurrants, grilled plums and fresh herbs. Full-bodied with soft tannins. A little big and woody on the palate, but it remains straightforward and steady. Drink now.

From a vineyard up in Calistoga formerly perhaps better known for Petite Sirah, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Kenefick Ranch Vineyard features bold cassis and brambly blackberry fruit alongside some vanilla and mocha notes. Full-bodied, creamy and supple, with soft, dusty tannins and hints of licorice on the finish, this seductive Cabernet can be consumed on the young side.
A bold, powerful wine, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Kenefick Ranch Vineyard shows plenty of Calistoga muscle. Inky dark fruit, scorched earth, leather, licorice and iron are all amplified in this super-ripe, dense Cabernet. Drink it over the next decade, give or take.
I loved the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Kenefick Ranch Vineyard, which certainly ranks with the finest Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon at the price. Lots of red and blue fruits, orange tea, spice, and some floral notes define the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied and balanced, with good freshness and a great finish. The oak here is wonderfully integrated, and this floral, elegant beauty is ideal for drinking over the coming 10-12 years.
