Medium red. Reticent aromas of raspberry, strawberry, licorice and menthol show a medicinal reserve. Dense, supple and a bit youthfully folded in on itself, with strong stony minerality keeping the red fruit and floral flavors under wraps. A bit less sweet than the Beaux Monts. But this impeccably balanced and energetic wine builds impressively on the back half and saturates the palate with smoky, minerally perfume.

Good full red. Captivating aromas of raspberry, smoky minerality and rose petal. Enters the mouth silky, then the strong acid and mineral spine kicks in to provide grip and sharp focus to the pungent raspberry, mineral and smoke flavors. Very serious wine, finishing with a vertical minerality and noteworthy tannic force. This will not be for early drinking.
Quite a price! Pale crimson. Very direct nose with no shortage of ripe fruit. Very solid and dry and tough. Really quite painful at the moment. I definitely wouldn’t pay this price... (JR)
