The 2015 Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières offers up an attractively pure nose of chamomile, citrus, pomelo and fresh pear. On the palate, the wine is chalky, medium to full-bodied and elegantly glossy on the attack, with racy acids and a sapid, penetrating finish; delicate and fine-boned in this sometimes massive vintage, and already very well-integrated. A supremely elegant Meursault Perrières.

Bright, pale yellow. Lemon zest, crushed rock and a hint of oak char on the nose. Conveys a lower-acid impression than the Genevrières but pungent stony minerality gives the dusty middle palate a savory dryness and keeps the citrus fruit flavors under wraps today. Drier, higher-pitched and less open-knit than the Genevrières and more in need of bottle aging but the wine's tactile stony component suggests that it will evolve gracefully.

Less immediately opulent than their Genevrières, but there is still plenty of flavour here. This seems like it may well flourish after a few years in bottle: it has dense, compact apple fruit and vivid acidity. One to keep. (RH)

(13.6% alcohol): The rockiest nose so far of these 2015s, with complicating notes of citrus zest, pineapple and lime blossom. Fine-grained, nicely delineated and adamantly dry; a mineral bath in the mouth, with a repeating note of pineapple. Finishes with good tactile, dusty length and slightly elevated alcohol. These Meursault premier crus produced a maximum of 32 hectoliters per hectare in 2015, according to Weber.
