2014 Domaine Joseph Voillot Pommard Les Rugiens 1er Cru

The 2014 Pommard 1er Cru les Rugiens opens wonderfully in the glass, crystalline red cherry fruit mixed with fresh strawberry and orange zest, lively and precise, real sophistication and sensuality here. The palate is crisp and fresh, very powerful with tangible mineralité and tension. It is one of the best Pommard Rugiens that I have tasted for a long time, a sense of completeness here that I am sure will be intact once in bottle.
