Very pale garnet, the 2010 Pinot Noir Coastlands Vineyard has a fully mature nose of seaweed, mushroom paste, iron and earth. The palate is light-bodied, saline and earthy, with a soft frame and delicate finish. Time to drink up.

The 2010 Pinot Noir Coastlands Vineyard floats on the palate with layers of sweet perfumed fruit, savory herbs, mint and licorice. A delicate wine, the 2010 needs further time in bottle to fully come together. That shouldn't be too much of an issue given that Cobb waits a little longer than most before releasing his wines. I look forward to tasting the Coastlands with a few more months of bottle age.
Bright ruby-red. Lively, floral-accented aromas of red fruit preserves, cola and Asian spices, with a strong mineral overtone. Offers sappy raspberry and cherry flavors and suave vanilla and spicecake qualities that gain strength with air. Finishes sweet and long, with lingering rose and star anise notes and silky tannins. Distinctly elegant, with the balance to age. This wine got 40% new oak and checks in at 13.5% alcohol.
