Note di degustazione
The 2022 Zinfandel Monte Rosso Vineyard is from this Napa-based winery, but they have been working with this vineyard since 1995. Raised in 25% new French oak from a mix of coopers, in the glass the wine sports a bright ruby/magenta color and is fruity and fresh on the nose, with notes of ripe red and black raspberries, crushed flowers, wet stones, and sweet herbs. The palate is fruity and juicy, though it retains a good amount of underlying structure that holds things together to take it up a notch. It has a lot of youthful charm and stays fresh. It should drink well over the coming 6-8 years.

From one of the cooler Zinfandel sites in the Biale portfolio, the 2022 Zinfandel Monte Rosso Vineyard offers up plentiful pepper-spice notes, red cherries and hints of pomegranate. It's medium to full-bodied but rather delicate and gently extracted, artfully avoiding any harsh tannins to finish on a fine, elegant note.
Medium purple in colour. Intensely berry-forward nose – blackberry and bramble with sticky black plum and dried black tea leaves – expressive and very firmly Zin in aromatic profile. Fresh, vibrant, tingling acidity and gently warming alcohol. Velvety tannins. Classic. Lovely. (SCJ)
The 2022 Zinfandel Monte Rosso Vineyard is a pretty powerful wine. Dark cherry, spice, leather, cedar, pipe tobacco and earthy notes build as this potent, virile Zinfandel shows off its assertive personality. The 2022 boasts good weight and fine balance, especially for the year.
