Note di degustazione
Sourced predominantly from two estate vineyards in Rutherford, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot, 1% Grenache and 1% Syrah. Matured in approximately 50% new French oak, the wine offers a mix of cherries, subtle cedar notes and vanilla shadings on the nose, while the palate is medium to full-bodied, velvety, plush and supple. It's easy to drink but has enough tannin to support short-term cellaring, and the finish adds appealing, savory hints of Mexican chocolate. With close to 26,000 cases produced, it should be widely available, and diligent shoppers may find it at retail for less than $50, making a rare bargain in Napa Cabernet.

Black fruits, camphor, plum, and asphalt notes all emerge from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Frediani Vineyard, a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc. This medium-bodied effort has moderate acidity, a plush, up-front style, and should drink nicely for a decade.
Plums, currants, stones, sage and walnut husks on the nose. Some toffee and mocha. Medium- to full-bodied with polished tannins. Creamy finish. Drink after 2023.
