2009 Owen Roe Syrah Red Willow Vineyard Chapel Block

(all destemmed, but vinified with some whole berries): Bright ruby-red. Black cherry aroma lifted by a subtle violet note and a slightly candied quality. Juicy, lush and sweet, with suave, palate-saturating flavors of dark berries, cherry and lavender. Not yet showing its inherent complexity but very aromatic and vibrant in the mouth. Finishes with a broad dusting of tannins and excellent length.
