Full bottle 1,227 g. Regenerative Organic Certified (ROC). Pale ruby with a touch of garnet. In contrast to the deep, meaty, dark reputation of Mourvèdre this is fresh, fruity and fairly light. A touch of cacao bitters to the finish. (SCJ)

The 2022 Mourvèdre leads with a pleasingly earth-forward nose of dehydrated black fruits, dried cedar, moss and bramble with an even-keeled yet lush intensity. The palate combines plush generosity with lacy refinement, leading to an expressive and harmonious finish of sappy, intense fruit flavors and swelling, deft tannin structure. This is a singular highlight of the Tablas Creek lineup. This should be a joy to follow over the next decade, if not more.
