The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus Vineyard is a big, powerful, brawny Calistoga Cabernet. Black cherry, grilled herbs, leather, menthol, licorice and cured meats give the 2017 striking aromatic nuance to play off a core of huge black fruit. Big, muscular tannins frame this decidedly virile, potent Cabernet Sauvignon. This is an especially rich, masculine wine. It is also the only pure Cabernet in the Turnbull range.
