Note di degustazione
Kapcsandy's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon State Lane Vineyard Estate Cuvée is gently floral and varietally herbal, which is to say not green or peppery, just delicately savory and non-fruity, in addition to showcasing the black cherries typical of the site. Medium to full-bodied, supple and silky in feel, with ample concentration and length, this is a charming, relatively early-drinking wine from this terrific Yountville vineyard.

Bottled two months prior to the tasting, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Cuv e checks in as 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot brought up in 70% new oak. It has a beautiful core of darker red and black fruits as well as notes of smoked tobacco, chocolate, and spring flowers and has terrific purity as well as freshness. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated, and layered, it's a beautiful, elegant, layered Cabernet Sauvignon that will evolve for 30 years and be drinkable for almost all of it.
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Cuvée is fabulous. Rich, dense and explosive, the 2021 shows just how compelling this vintage is. Black cherry, plum, mocha, new leather, licorice, spice and dried herbs all build effortlessly in the glass. There's a good bit of tannin heft here, but the sheer richness of the fruit nearly buries it. The persistent, aromatic finish is striking.
