Note di degustazione
The 2015 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos Sorbé is a beauty, wafting from the glass with aromas of cherry, cinnamon, rose petal, violets, orange rind and dark chocolate, with hints of the savory bass notes to come. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, supple and succulent, with an ample core of ripe fruit, fine-grained tannins and a long, sappy finish. From 80-year-old vines, stylistically this is somewhat reminiscent to the now cultish wines of Jacky Truchot.

Cask sample. Mid crimson. Ripe mix of fresh and dried fruits. Softly textured and a bit flat on the finish. Lacks a little freshness overall. Could be a poor sample. (JH)

The wines of Henri & Philippe Jouan fly under the radar – and, with the current quantities produced (from just three hectares of vines), this is unlikely to change any time soon.
