Note di degustazione
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon The Trail is the most elegant and nuanced of these three Cabernets from Harbison, although all of the wines are decidedly on the large-scaled side of things. Bright, floral notes perk up the red cherry and pomegranate flavors. Soft contours and polished tannins are very much in harmony with the style of the wine. As the name states, the Trail is sourced from the part of the vineyard closes to the Silverado Trail. The Clone 337 Cabernet that planted here, where the soils are the reddest, yields a wine with noticeable aromatic presence and classiness.

Bottled in the spring of 2017, the Harbison 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate The Trail has a very deep garnet-purple color and exuberant black cherries, crushed blackberries and blueberry preserves nose with touches of Indian spices, black pepper, violets and cedar chest. Full-bodied, richly fruited and packed with vibrant red and black berry layers, it has gorgeous ripe, velvety tannins and oodles of freshness, finishing in compelling exotic spice layers.
