Punteggio 96/100 · Da bere 2015-2030, Robert Parker, Oct 2015

Even better is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville. This smaller cuvée (14.7% alcohol) was aged in a combination of 50% new French oak. This outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon offers loads of minerality as well as notes of white flowers, blueberry and blackberry fruit, and pen ink. Full-bodied, stunningly proportioned and purely textured, with a multi-layered mouthfeel, this is a super-duper wine, and at $75.00, a killer value by high-end Napa Cabernet standards. Drink it over the next 15 or so years.

Keith Emerson's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon has turned out just as beautifully as I had hoped it would. Deep, layered and explosive in the glass, the 2013 is redolent with dark red/bluish fruits, smoke, dark spices and licorice. Powerful and intense, the Cabernet captures all of the sheer opulence and energy of the year.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon emerges from the glass with an exotic mélange of lavender, smoke, plums, violets. The 2013 is riper than the 2012, but it also possesses more energy and overall structure, a combination I personally find hugely appealing. This is a gorgeous showing from Keith Emerson.
