(from 85-year-old vines in Les Rouges du Bas): Bright medium red. Aromas of redcurrant, tobacco and smoke convey an iron influence. Supple, suave and dry, displaying a distinctly velvety texture to its flavors of redcurrant, strawberry and dried rose petal. But this juicy wine also boasts a penetrating quality and builds impressively on the savory, firmly tannic finish.
