The 2017 Rully 1er Cru Meix Cadot is drinking beautifully, and I have already personally accounted for five or six bottles in restaurants throughout Burgundy. Offering up an inviting bouquet of crisp orchard fruit, citrus oil, blanched almonds and nutmeg, it's medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural and incisive, with fine depth at the core, marrying tension with generosity, concluding with a long, elegantly mineral finish.

Tank sample. A little more evidence of oak on the nose though it is subtle. That creamy richness on the palate balances the crisp acidity and gives a more harmonious and versatile wine than the straight Rully. (JH)
