Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2024-2042, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux, Sep 2022

A great vintage generally for St Emilion, and this is a rich, powerful and gourmet take on Clos Dubreuil, with a sweetness to the tannins, and a joyfully tactile, enticing edge to the fruit, with black chocolate and espresso layered on damson and blackberry. An enticing mix of ripe fruits without losing salinity and minerality. Part terroir, part winemaking, giving a mouthwatering finish, great quality. 60% new oak, Michel Rolland consultant.

Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2023-2038, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Apr 2021

Composed of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc and weighing in with 15.5% declared alcohol, the 2018 Clos Dubreuil reveals a deep garnet-purple color, bursting from the glass with bold scents of stewed plums, minted blackberries and Black Forest cake, plus suggestions of hoisin and Chinese five spice. The full-bodied palate is jam-packed with spicy black berry preserves and fruitcake notes, framed by chewy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing with great length.

Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2022-2036, Neal Martin, Mar 2021

The 2018 Clos Dubreuil has retained its luxurious, plush bouquet of layers of mulberry, black plum, cassis and light violet aromas and its delineation and focus. The candied palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, blood orange and cracked black pepper infusing the red fruit, and a touch of salted licorice on the aftertaste. Lots of personality here. A fine Clos Dubreuil that deserves a couple of years in bottle.
