From old vines on clay and limestone, 50% 35 years old, 50% 80 years old. Vines 7 km to the south of Maranges. No added SO 2 . Tank sample. Mid lemon. Lovely bright orchard fruit, apples and a touch of quince. Lovely balance between ripe fruit and acidity, showing how Aligoté is benefiting from a warming climate. This is lovely. (MH)
