The purple-colored 2014 Blaufränkisch Lutzmannsburg Alte Reben opens with a pure, ripe and intense fruit on the spicy, beautifully perfumed nose. Very intense and juicy, highly elegant and round on the palate, this is a pure and aromatic, well-defined and stimulatingly salty Blaufränkisch with beautifully fine tannins and super cherry (skin) flavors in the long finish. This is a stunningly great red from a problematic vintage. Wild fruits in the aftertaste. Very promising.
