From an alluvial site that was formerly exploited by Ravenswood, the 2016 Zinfandel Whitney Tennessee Vineyard reveals aromas of smoky plums, red cherries and dried herbs. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, firm and chewy, with a concentrated core of fruit and lively acids. The most claret-like wine in the Turley portfolio, it will demand a couple years of bottle age.

Turley's 2016 Zinfandel Whitney Tennessee is stellar. Rich, ample and explosive, the 2016 is pure class. The flavors are deep and incisive, but like all of these 2016s, the Whitney Tennessee is all about balance and harmony. Super-ripe red cherry, plum, rose petal, mint and spice notes add to the wine's refined, silky personality. Dollops of Carignane and Petite Sirah round out the blend. What a gorgeous wine this is.
