Note di degustazione
The 2014 Zinfandel Buck Cobb Vineyard, from a site in Amador County, is pretty, delicate and aromatic. Wild flowers, tobacco and earth notes take shape nicely in the glass, but there is only so much these relatively young vines could cope with in 2014. Drink this juicy, straightforward Zinfandel over the next few years.

The 2014 Zinfandel Buck Cobb Vineyard from volcanic, granitic soils in Amador County, displays a darker fruit character, a similar dark ruby/purple color, earth, tar and deep, rich berry fruit. It cuts a relatively broad swath across the palate and conceals any sense of heat or its power (15.3% alcohol). Delicious, round, seductive and juicy, this is also a wine to drink over the next 5-6 years.
The 2014 Zinfandel Cobb Vineyard, from a site at 1500 feet in Amador County, is one of the more rustic wines in this lineup. Mountain tannins and an impression of rusticity pervade in this tightly-wound Zinfandel. The Cobb is very closed today, even for a mountain wine.
