The 2015 Rosso Alberico pulls you close to the glass and holds your attention firm with a bouquet that mixes crushed blackberries and plum with sweet exotic spices, clove, undergrowth and a lifting hint of mint. It’s silky yet vibrant, balancing ripe red berries and pretty inner florals with a saturation of salty minerals and a twang of sour citrus that punctuates the experience wonderfully. Black currants and sweet herbal tones linger long over a bed of nicely rounded tannins as this tapers off lightly structured. The Alberico is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
