Note di degustazione
The 2011 Chardonnay continues to develop beautifully in bottle. Still, the 2011 could use another year to fully unwind. The flavors remain bright, focused and very nicely nuanced, with pretty floral and stone fruit overtones that linger on the close.

The 2011 Chardonnay is striking. Lemon, pastry, white, flowers and nectarine all meld together gracefully in this gorgeous, totally beautiful wine. All the elements are in the right place. Sweet floral notes and a hint of peach linger on the finish. In 2011, 30% of the fruit was fermented and aged in concrete eggs, an approach that worked very nicely, to say the least. This is a totally classy introductory level Chardonnay from Failla.
Bright yellow. Enticing aromas of peach, apple, nutmeg and ginger. On the lean side and quite dry, with subtle stone fruit and brown spice flavors accented by herbs. With modest mid-palate stuffing, the finish comes across as a bit tough.
