2009 Clos de la Tech Pinot Noir Domaine Lois Louise Twisty Ridge

Cassis, licorice, earth and hints of tar all emerge from the 2009 Pinot Noir Domaine Lois Louis Twisty Ridge. Like all of the wines here, it's concentrated and rich, with plenty of fruit, but is slightly monolithic and chunky, with plenty of tannin. Still, it has solid purity of fruit and is a solid effort, and one of my favorites in the lineup.
