Note di degustazione
Medium red-ruby. Sexy raspberry and strawberry aromas, along with a stronger oakiness than most of the foregoing bottles show today. Restrained and reticent in the mouth, with subtly intense but youthfully dry flavors of small wild red berries, rose petal and minerals. Best today on the perfumed, very firm back end.

Sweet, spicy, and boasting sweet red cherry aromas, the 2002 Charmes-Chambertin’s nose displays distinctive notes of candied blood oranges. Lush, oak-infused red fruits are buttressed by this effort’s highly present (yet ripe) tannin. Medium-bodied, concentrated, and more muscular than typical for a Charmes, it also possesses a long, bright finish. Projected maturity: 2007-2014. Full red-ruby. Black cherry, game and a roasted nuance on the nose. Fatter and sweeter than the Combottes but also possesses a lovely core of acidity that gives it good verve. Lifted by a floral note of violet. Then firmly tannic, even a bit tight, on the back end.
