Note di degustazione
The blockbuster 2001 Chardonnay Cuvee Indigene possesses an oily, unctuous texture in addition to smoky, leesy, peach, honeysuckle, and lemon zest aromatics, and dense, deep, full-bodied flavors with great texture, richness, and purity. It is a superb Chardonnay to enjoy over the next decade. (Release date 9/03) Tel. (707) 942-4459; Fax (707) 942-0209

Subdued, laid-back aromas of ripe peach, apple, pear and lemon cream, with vanilla and hazelnut notes from the sweet Louis Latour barrels. Large-scaled and creamy-sweet, with terrific spice and mineral character. If I had to superimpose this on a map of the Cote d'Or, I'd say Puligny-Montrachet Referts, only riper. Very long, sweetly fruity aftertaste. The components of this wine got an additional five months of aging on the lees and 75% new oak. Winemaker Morlet predicts this will be at its best in four or five years.
