Note di degustazione
The 2002 Pinot Noir Laurene is savory with hoisin, dried red cherry, and pine. It has ample fruit and structure on the palate, with cranberry candy, tea leaf, and dried roses. It is in a beautiful spot now, and although it might not gain in quality from here, it will be well worth drinking over the next 6-8 years.

Dark. Nuits-ish. Sweet start and very gentle. But concentrated tannins too. A tiny bit brutal. (JR)
Dark, saturated red. Incisive aromas of bitter cherry, black raspberry, boysenberry and licorice, with suggestions of smoked meat and bacon fat. Dense but juicy, fresh and vibrant on the palate, with strong dark berry flavors and a heady, floral quality that builds with air. The bright, strong finish is elegant and precise.
The fleshy, medium to dark ruby-colored 2002 Pinot Noir Laurene displays an aromatic profile of sweet black fruits. On the palate, this broad shouldered, concentrated, medium to full-bodied wine offers plummy black cherries, blackberries, and hints of tar. Its finish is slightly rustic, with loads of tannin that reveal some bitterness. This wine will be released in September, 2005. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2013. Tel. (503) 864-2700 www.drouhin.com
