Note di degustazione
Bright red. Wild, intensely perfumed cherry pit and potpourri aromas are complicated by Asian spices and smoky minerals. Concentrated, lively and sharply focused, offering bitter cherry and red berry flavors that become sweeter with air. The energetic finish shows excellent clarity, silky tannins and resonating floral character.

Black cherry, plum and baking spices are some of the many notes that emerge from the glass in the 2012 Pinot Noir Peter Martin Ray Vineyard. Here the style is dark, powerful and structured, which is to say beautifully contrasted to the more gracious voice of the Legan. A big, structured Pinot within the Arnot-Roberts range, the 2012 could use at least another year in bottle to fully come around. Peter Martin Ray is located above Corralitos, closer to the northern edge of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Along with the Legan, these two Pinots show the breadth the Santa Cruz Mountains are capable of.
