Note di degustazione
There is a top note of herbal tea to the redder fruit-infused nose though there are some darker fruit scents lurking in the background. I like the intensity and sleekness of the delicious and well-detailed middle weight flavors that exhibit fine length and complexity on the ever-so-mildly warm finish.

The 2018 Fixin En Combe Roy comes from a 0.37-hectare parcel. It has a floral bouquet of rose petal aromas filtering through the raspberry and cranberry fruit. The harmonious palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a silky-smooth finish given a little more body by the 30% new oak. Excellent.
Higher up in the village. Thinner soils. Went into the village wine until 2013. Old vines. Ambient yeast. 40% whole bunch. SO2 after the malo only. Barrel sample and not yet racked. Fresh, scented and slightly herbal fruits. More savoury than Les Crais, a little darker in fruit but with real elegance again. Dark and lightly peppery fruit, dry, savoury and sober on the finish yet very fresh. (JH)
