Rich but rustic, the 1967 Beaune 1er Cru Clos de la Mousse offers up aromas of cherries, smoked meats, saddled leather and sweet spices. Medium to full-bodied, ample and voluminous (from generous chaptalization), it's savory and a little rustic, concluding with a rather animal finish.
