Note di degustazione
(16.8% alcohol): Full, dark red. Lower-toned but complex aromas of red and blue fruits, chocolate and minerals. Wonderfully silky and voluptuous, but with nicely integrated acidity giving shape to the sweet, soil-driven flavors of red fruits, minerals and coffee. There's something almost Cabernet-like about this fine-grained wine. Has the opulence of fruit to support its substantial ripe tannins. Still plenty of life ahead.

Year in and year out one of Turley's superstars is the Zinfandel Hayne Vineyard. The 1999 (560 cases, 16.8% alcohol) is a tour de force in Zinfandel winemaking. The alcohol is totally concealed behind a wealth of glycerin, fruit, layered extraction, and a rich, plush texture. The wine possesses an opaque purple color, marvelous purity, and a minerality that frames its extravagant blackberry, cherry, and currant-dominated richness. The finish lasts for nearly a minute. An astounding effort, it will age well for a decade. Tel. (707) 963-0940
Bright deep ruby. Vibrant but reticent nose hints at raspberry syrup. Fat, lush and sweet, with explosively spicy flavors of black cherry, cassis and bitter chocolate. This has wonderful creamy sweetness at its core. Finishes with chewy tannins and great persistence.
