The 2013 Zinfandel is noticeably intense in this vintage. The flavors are bold, dark and incisive, yet the 2013 retains a classic, mid-weight feel and overall sense of structure. Dried cherry, tobacco, cedar and earthy notes abound. The 2013 is a bit rustic and rough around the edges.

The 2013 Zinfandel is juicy, plump and absolutely delicious, even if it is not especially varietal. Dark red and purplish fruit, wild flowers, mint, smoke, earthiness and tobacco develop in the glass, but the style is essentially forward and fruit driven within the restrained style that- is such a Frog's Leap signature.
