Note di degustazione
The 2021 Azimuth is a Mourvèdre-dominated blend that includes 35% Grenache and 12% Syrah. Aged 20 months in 30% new oak, its ruby/plum hue is followed by terrific aromatics of gamey red and black fruits, ground pepper, iron, and tapenade nuances. It's a big, lush, layered red that brings terrific Paso Robles fruit while staying beautifully balanced, layered, and elegant on the palate. Drink this awesome red over the coming decade.

Crushed cherries, sweet herbs and hints of incense create an inviting bouquet as the 2021 Azimuth slowly evolves in the glass. It soothes with its round and supple textures as a savory core of spiced red berries slowly saturates. Rosy inner florals arch across the palate as this leaves a minty freshness and gritty tannins, forming a crunchy sensation toward the close. The Azimuth is a blend of 53% Mourvèdre, 35% Grenache and 12% Syrah refined in 30% new French oak.
The 2021 Azimuth is a blend of 53% Mourvèdre, 35% Grenache and 12% Syrah matured for 20 months in 30% new French oak. It takes some air to open from tar and earth to reveal blackberries, blueberries, lavender, tea leaves and conifer-like undertones. The medium-bodied palate features restrained, perfumed fruit supported by chalky tannins and refreshing acidity, and it has a long, nuanced finish. 400 cases were produced, and it will be released in the spring of 2024.
